Tattoo Care

I am licensed by the City of New York Department of Health.  All of my tattooing equipment is sterilized via high pressure saturated steam in an autoclave or one-time use disposable, and will be opened and disposed of in front you.

After you leave the studio, it is up to you to care for your tattoo so it will heal properly and look good for life.  Here are some tips:

  • Remove bandages after 1 to 2 hours and wash tattoo gently with antibacterial soap.  Pat dry carefully.  Do not put new bandages on.
  • Apply a thin layer of A&D Ointment 2 to 3 times per day for the first 4 days.  Gently wash the tattoo before applying the ointment each time.  Apply fragrance free body lotion regularly after that to keep the skin moisturized.
  • Avoid hot tubs, pools, and the ocean, and direct sunlight or tanning beds for 2 to 3 weeks during the healing process.
  • Do not pick or peel off scabs or scratch your tattoo; allow it to heal on its own for best results.
